UV showed the highest correlation with T (RT = 0.87), followed by SP (RSP = -0.55), and GR (RGR = -0.53), as shown in S5 and S6 Figs and S2 Table. Among the correlations between GR and the six weather factors, all were significant (P- value < 0.05) except for TP, which was positively correlated with TP and SP (RTP = 0.14, RSP = 0.35), whereas the remaining four factors were significantly negatively correlated with TP and Fig 6. Spatial distribution characteristics of weather factors. Note: growth rate of SARS-CoV-2 (GR), specific humidity (H), 2-m temperature (T), wind speed (WS), ultraviolet (UV) radiation, surface pressure (SP), and total precipitation (TP). https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0285179.g006 PLOS ONE Impact of climate change on SARS-CoV-2 epidemic in China PLOS ONE | https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0285179 July 27, 2023 11 / 21
