Control theory plays an essential role in climate change mitigation, providing a framework for analyzing and managing the complex systems that influence Earth’s climate. Encompass- ing a range of methodologies and techniques, it enables the regulation of key drivers such as greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and industrial pollution. By applying control princi- ples, policymakers and scientists can design strategies and interventions that guide environ- mental systems toward sustainability and resilience.
